Dr. Sarah Chajka
HBKin, DC, Webster-Certified Chiropractor
Dr. Sarah Chajka, chiropractor, had an athletic upbringing that drove her to pursue a bachelor of kinesiology degree from McMaster University and later complete her doctor of chiropractic degree. She is a registered chiropractor in Ontario with the College of Chiropractors of Ontario. At McMaster University, she learnt how to study and evaluate human movement and functional motor performance. During her time there, she gained excellent rehabilitation skills working at an OHIP physiotherapy clinic and at a private recreation facility. After many different volunteer opportunities, such as the MacWheelers Exercise program (which involves spinal cord injury rehabilitation), she developed an interest in the human spine and nervous system, which led to her studies at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC).
During her four-year doctorate of chiropractic (DC) degree at CMCC, Dr. Chajka solidified her knowledge of human biomechanics and therapeutic treatment options that revolved around neck and back pain and core strength. She graduated as a doctor of chiropractic with clinic honours.
Dr. Chajka believes that chiropractic care is beneficial to all. Her upbringing in an active family and her years of discipline from sport and dance, as well as witnessing the transformative effect of chiropractic treatment on all ages, have reinforced this belief. While working at the Health Centre of Milton, she has further developed her interest in preventative health and healing and has taken extra courses to give specialized attention to pregnancy and paediatrics. She enjoys giving back to the community and holds an infant massage class to new mothers in Milton to provide them with some of her tools and techniques to calm, soothe, and connect with their newborn.
