Dr. Dan Chajka
BSc, DC, Webster Technique Certified
Dr. Dan Chajka, owner and chiropractor at the Health Centre of Milton was born and raised in St. Catharines, Ontario. He pursued a bachelor of science degree from Brock University and went on to attend the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) from which he graduated as a doctor of chiropractic and is a registered chiropractor in Ontario with the CCO. In his final year of study, Dr. Chajka had two internship rotations at separate clinics. He started at the CMCC campus clinic, learning hands-on functional testing and rehabilitation from a clinician who holds his sports and rehabilitation fellowship designation. For his second rotation, these skills were put to the test as he was selected for a clinical internship at the Sherbourne Health Centre in southeast Toronto. Here, he gained substantial experience treating patients with a multitude of conditions and unique sets of challenges.
Shortly after graduating from CMCC, he took over for Dr. Houston at the Health Centre of Milton. Here, he has continued to learn about patient care and the new challenges of running his own practice. Dr. Chajka involves himself with the Milton community by speaking on a multitude of health-related topics, as well as donating goods and time to various charities. Every year, he hosts a charity BBQ for the Rick Jeffery Kids Foundation in Milton that raises money and awareness to help kids in need of funds to play in organized sports. Dr. Chajka sees this foundation worthy of his attention as he feels lucky to have played high school football and learned the importance of teamwork and dedication. His experience with sport and helping others played a significant role in his decision to become a chiropractor.
Dr. Chajka is passionate about chiropractic and the care of his patients. This is demonstrated through his unrelenting determination towards treatment of and education for his patients’ conditions. This philosophy of education allows his patients to understand not only how his treatment can help their current back pain, but how they can help themselves with preventative tools. He works with his patients as their teacher and teammate, striving to provide the components to live a longer, happier, healthier life.
Dr. Chajka feels fortunate to be able to work with his patients to witness the body’s healing ability. He continues to build on his education through courses in varied techniques of chiropractic care. In his spare time, he enjoys many outdoor activities, movies, and oddly enough, fixing things with his hands.
